Arab media delegations: Saudi Ministry of Media supported us in “unprecedented” Hajj coverage

Editor in Chief of the Sudanese newspaper "Al-Youm Al-Tali" Dr. Mazmal Abu Al-Qasim Al-Sharif said Friday that the Hajj season has witnessed unprecedented media coverage.

This came in his speech on behalf of the Arab media group at Saudi Media Ministry's annual ceremony to honor the delegations involved in covering the pilgrimage, in the presence of Saudi Media Minister Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad, Sudanese Information Minister Dr. Ahmed Bilal, And the Director General of the Union of OIC News Agencies Issa Khaireh Robleh.

Al-Sharif attributed this record success in covering Hajj to the attention of the government of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their keenness in making the Kingdom's Hajj media operation a resounding success.

He stated: The media people who attended to the Kingdom from all around the world were provided all the assistance and support they required for their work. We thank the Ministry of Media, under the leadership of Minister Awwad Al-Awwad, which enabled us in performing our mission, by providing us the necessary equipment and by preparing state of the art media centers.

He concluded by expressing his gratitude on his behalf and on behalf of participating Arab delegations to the government of Saudi Arabia, saying that the delegations bore witness to the enormous efforts exerted in our service, adding that more than two million pilgrims received the care they deserve in performing the largest and most important Islamic event.
