Bahrain’s king begins Malaysia visit

Kuala Lumpur (IINA) � King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa of Bahrain arrived Sunday in Kuala Lumpur on a four-day official visit to Malaysia at the invitation of Kelantan's Sultan Muhammad V, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

During the visit, King Hamad will hold talks with Malaysian Prime Minister Mohammad Najib Abdul Razak on strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in all fields. The two sides will also discuss regional and international developments and issues of mutual interest.

In a statement upon arrival at Kuala Lumpur Airport, King Hamad hailed the fraternal relations and fruitful ties between the two countries, which reflects joint keenness on expanding cooperation toward achieving mutual interests.

"We are confident that our meeting with His Majesty Sultan Muhammad V and His Excellency Prime Minister Mohammad Najib Abdul Razak will take our relations to a new level that fulfills the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples based on the strong foundations of these bonds of respect, appreciation and mutual understanding. This will activate the framework of cooperation and consolidate the distinguished relations," King Hamad said.
