CAIR-Florida expresses solidarity with Jewish community after hate vandalism

Florida (IINA) - The Florida chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-FL) expressed its solidarity with that state's Jewish community after a Nazi swastika was painted on a vehicle in a predominately Orthodox Jewish neighborhood near Boca Raton, Florida, last weekend.

An attack on a synagogue is the same attack on a mosque or a church. Our places of worship and our religious communities in America deserve the highest level of protection against hate crimes that very often put our lives in danger. We will always support our Jewish neighbors against bigotry and hate, said CAIR-Florida Communications Director Wilfredo A. Ruiz.

CAIR is America's largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization. Its mission is to enhance the understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.
