Egyptian FM, French counterpart discuss regional developments by phone

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry received a phone call from his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian on Sunday.

Egyptian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Counselor Ahmed Hafez said the two ministers discussed, during the telephone conversation, bilateral cooperation and means of developing relations in various fields, in addition to regional issues of mutual interest, especially the current situation in Libya and developments in Sudan.

He added that the two sides also discussed the recent developments in the Gulf region, where they stressed the importance of coordination in order to enhance security and stability in the region.
