Minister of State for Petroleum Dr. Musadik Malik has said the government is making all out efforts to provide every possible relief to the common man.

Addressing a news conference in Lahore on Sunday, he said different slabs of tariff have been introduced in gas bills to facilitate the poor.

About gas tariff policy, he said about fifty nine percent consumers belong to mediocre class and increase in gas sale price will not affect them.

The Minister of State said the rich consumers who use more gas for their comfort will pay three times more.

Comparing Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Qatar in power sector, Musadik Malik said Pakistan will now prefer gas to the power sector to reduce the per unit price of power from twenty-six rupees to seven rupees.

Responding to a question, the Minister also dispelled the impression of the default of country.
