Minister of State for Poverty Alleviation Faisal Karim Kundi has said that the government is taking steps for resolving the issues being faced by the farmers.
Talking to a delegation of the farmers in Dera Ismael Khan on Thursday, the Minister said several important steps are being taken for the welfare of the farmers, as the agriculture sector is the backbone of the country's economy.
On this occasion, the delegation raised the issue of non-payment of prices of sugarcane to farmers properly and the Minister assured them for its redressal.
