According to a survey conducted by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, malaria and diarrhea are the most common affliction out of diseases that have broken out in flood borne areas.

A representative sample of adult men and women from the flood borne areas was asked the following question: “God forbid, has there been an outbreak of any disease in your area? If yes, which disease?” 35% responded Malaria, 22% said Diarrhea, 16% mentioned Skin disease while 12% said Dengue and 10% responded fever. 2% of the people said that thre was outbreak of animal disease while 1% responded asthma and diabetes.
