OIC chief condemns terrorist attack at Pakistan market

Jeddah (IINA) � The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned the terrorist attack that targeted a market in Parachinar city, the capital of Kurram tribal district of Pakistan on the Afghan border, killing and wounding dozens of people.

OIC Secretary General Dr. Yousef Al-Othaimeen described the attack as a criminal act that targeted innocent civilians and contravenes all human values and principles. He reiterated OIC's position that condemns violence and terrorism in all their forms and manifestations, whatever their motives and causes.

Dr. Al-Othaimeen expressed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims of this evil crime, as well as to the government and people of Pakistan. He also voiced the OIC's solidarity with Pakistan in its endeavors to combat extremism and terrorism.

The secretary general further called on the Pakistani authorities to identify and bring the perpetrators of this heinous crime to justice.
