Jeddah Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef AlOthaimeen met here on Monday with President of the Fatwa Council of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Abdullah bin Bayyah and his accompanying delegation, where they explored ways to boost bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, Sheikh bin Bayyah hailed the OIC's role and efforts in advancing the interests of the peoples and countries of the Muslim world, stressing the need to lift cooperation between both sides to higher levels.
For his part, AlOthaimeen briefed the visiting delegation on the OIC's efforts against terrorism and extremism, as well as in the promotion of moderation and tolerance. He also apprised the delegation of the major achievements of the Organization in 50 years of its existence.
