Pakistan's acting Justice Minister Syed Ali Zafar met with Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj and extended condolences to India over the death of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Zafar was one of the foreign dignitaries who attended Vajpayee's funeral in the capital of India.
Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale was also present at the meeting, according to the Press Trust of India agency.
Swaraj also met with other foreign dignitaries who attended the funeral, including former Afghan President Hamid Karzai.
Both spoke about the role played by former Prime Minister Vajpayee in consolidating democracy in Afghanistan, said Foreign Ministry's spokesman, Raveesh Kumar.
Kumar in a series of tweets shared photos of the Swaraj meeting with other leaders separately, including Bangladesh's Foreign Ministers Abul Hassan Mahmud Ali, of Sri Lanka, Lakshman Kiriella, and of Nepal, Pradeep Kumar Gyawali.
