Provincial Disaster Management Authority Punjab says in the first week of August, there are chances of light and heavy rains across the province.

The spokesperson PDMA said there will be stormy rains in the upper areas of Ravi, Chenab and Sutlej rivers.

He said relatively moderate rainfall will occur in the upper areas of the Indus River and Kabul.

The spokesperson said in the next 24 hours Rawalpindi, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan and Bahawalpur are likely to experience thunderstorms, whereas light and heavy rain in Gujranwala, Sargodha, Lahore, Faisalabad and Sahiwal are predicted.

He said Mangala Dam is 84 percent and Tarbela Dam is 85% full of water and a high level of flood is expected at Mangala in the Jhelum River between Friday and Sunday.
