Addressing a special session of AJK Legislative Assembly in Muzaffarabad on Sunday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated that government and people of Pakistan will continue to extend diplomatic, political, and moral support to their Kashmiris brothers and sisters till they attain their cherished goal of freedom from India’s unlawful and forcible occupation.

He said Pakistan has always laid emphasis on a peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute as per relevant UNSC resolutions and in accordance with the aspiration of the Kashmiri people.

The Prime Minister said our blood is the same and every Pakistani pays a salute to the matchless sacrifices of the Hurriyat leaders and workers.

He said India wants to change the demography of the illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir but it will never succeed in it.

Shehbaz Sharif said East Taimur, Darfur, and other areas of the world were given independence on ethnic grounds but the same is not applied in Kashmir and Palestine.

He appealed to the UN and other world human rights organizations to break their silence on the grave human rights violations in the IIOJK and the ill-treatment meted out to the Hurriyat leaders.

The Prime Minister informed that Kashmir policy will be revised in consultation with stakeholders.

Earlier, in their addresses, the leader of the house, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, opposition leader, and parliamentary leaders expressed profound gratitude to the government and people of Pakistan. They said Pakistan’s continued support of the Kashmir cause has always been a source of encouragement for the oppressed people of the occupied territory.
