President Dr Arif Alvi has called for highlighting the grave human rights violations being committed by the Indian forces in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

He expressed these views while talking to a delegation of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, led by Mahmood Ahmad Sagar, in Islamabad on Tuesday.

The president impressed upon the world to play its role in implementing the United Nations Security Council resolutions and also make India accountable for its crimes in IIOJK.

Dr Arif Alvi reiterated Pakistan's firm resolve to continue to support the Kashmiri people in their just struggle for the right to self-determination.

The Hurriyat leadership from the IIOJK apprised the president of the current situation in the valley.

It was informed that 600,000 Kashmiris have been martyred since partition at the hands of the Indian occupation forces and thousands of houses have been burnt and destroyed.

It was also highlighted that Kashmiri leadership have been incarcerated and extrajudicial killings, arbitrary arrests and torture of the Kashmiri youth have become a norm in IIOJK.
