President Dr. Arif Alvi has urged all stakeholders to create awareness about importance of early diagnosis of hepatitis and work together for elimination of this disease from the country.
In his message on World Hepatitis Day being observed on Thursday, he emphasized on addressing the risk factors for disease need to be addressed on an urgent basis by ensuring safe blood transfusions, use of auto-disable syringes and strict infection control practices in all healthcare settings.
