Punjab Govt Makes ‘Hotel Eye’ Software Mandatory for Guest Houses to Curb Crime

Lahore: The Punjab Home Department has made it mandatory for all guest houses across the province to register on the ‘Hotel Eye’ software, aiming to curb terrorism, crime, and illegal activities.

According to Radio Pakistan, the department’s spokesperson stated that all private guest houses and residential service providers must enter guest data into the system for digital verification of both domestic and foreign residents. This initiative is designed to enhance security measures and ensure that guest information is accurately recorded and monitored.

The department has launched an online portal to facilitate this registration process, making it more accessible for guest house operators to comply with the new regulations. This move is part of a broader strategy to leverage technology in maintaining public safety and order.

The final deadline for registration has been set for the 15th of next month. This timeline underscores the urgency and importance the department places on implementing the ‘Hotel Eye’ software across the province. Guest houses failing to register by this date may face penalties or other regulatory actions.
