Punjab government has mobilized its monitoring teams to ensure the implementation of the code of conduct in the province. The step has been taken on the instructions of the Provincial Election Commissioner Punjab Ijaz Anwer Chohan. In this regard connection, fines have been imposed on different candidates for violating the code of conduct. The candidates were organizing rallies and corner meetings without permission from the district administration. District Monitoring Officer Sahiwal also advised the candidates to be cautious next time. Meanwhile the process of removing plastic pena flexes and oversized advertising materials from various districts of Punjab is also in progress. The authorities also issued notices to election candidates for violations of code of conduct in Multan, Vihari and Rahim Yar Khan. Source: Radio Pakistan
