Pakistan International Airlines' first Hajj flight from Islamabad departed to Madinah on Sunday.

Minister for Religious Affairs Talha Mahmood, Minister for Narcotics Control, Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki and CEO PIA were present to see off the pilgrims.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Talha Mahmood pledged to ensure all possible facilities to Hujjaj this year.

He urged the pilgrims to portray positive image of Pakistan while performing rituals of the Hajj. He said Hujjaj are representatives of our country.

The Minister also provided a Whatsapp number to Hujjaj for any kind of complaints. The number is 03400164444.

In his remarks, PIA spokesperson Abdullah Khan said that overall three Hajj flights departed today. He said pre-Hajj operation will continue till the 2nd of the next month.

Abdullah Khan said pre-Hajj operation will consist of 340 flights through which 65000 pilgrims with public and private schemes will be facilitated.
