The three-day Shandur Polo Festival concluded with colorful celebrations in Chitral on Sunday.

Corps Commander Peshawar was the chief guest of the closing ceremony.

In the final match of the festival, Chitral defeated Gilgit-Baltistan by seven goals to five after a sensational competition.

Earlier, the school children presented a tableau, while the bands of Frontier Corps and Gilgit-Baltistan presented the tunes of national songs.

On this occasion, local artists also performed Waziristani, Chitrali, Khattak and Kailashi dances. Para-gliders and SSG commandos of Pakistan Army received special appreciation from the audience through para-trooping in the event.

At the end, the chief guest distributed trophies and cash prizes among the best performing players, runners-up and winning teams.

The event was attended by a large number of local people and other guests, including high civil and military officials.
