Youm e Siddique e Akbar Razi Allah Unho was observed on Sunday countrywide with immense respect.
In this connection, Khilafat-e-Rashida conference was held in Lahore on Sunday under the chair of Special Representative to Prime Minister on Interfaith Harmony Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that first caliph Hazrat Abu Bakar Siddique Razi Allah Unho established a welfare state on the basis of Islamic principles.
Terming Khilafat-e-Rashida as a role model and a guiding principle to run the state' affairs in contemporary age, he said that Hazrat Abu Bakar Siddique Razi Allah Unho ensured the economic and social emancipation of downtrodden sections of society.
