STANDING COMMITTEE ON PARLIAMENTARY AFFAIRS MEETS TODAY.
Islamabad 19th October, 2022 meeting of the Standing Committee on Parliamentary Affairs held today in Parliament House, Islamabad for the removal of Ex-Chairman & re-election of Chairman Standing Committee on Parliamentary Affairs.
The Committee removed the Mr. Mujahid Ali, Ex-Chairman of the said Standing Committee and unanimously elected Mr. Muhammad Abu Bakar, MNA as its Chairman.
The Addl. Secretary (Legislation) National Assembly Secretariat welcomed the Hon. Members and briefed them about the procedure for the election of the Chairman. Mr. Abdul Qadir Khan Mandokhel, MNA proposed the name of Mr. Muhammad Abu Bakar. MNA. As Chairman of the Committee. Ms. Javairia Zafar Aheer seconded the name of Mr. Muhammad Abu Bakar, MNA as Chairman of the Committee. Mr. Muhammad Abu Bakar, MNA was unanimously elected as Chairman of the Standing Committee on Parliamentary Affairs.
The Addl. Secretary (Legislation) National Assembly Secretariat, congratulated the new elected Chairman on behalf of the Hon. Speaker and assured him full support from this Secretariat for the effective and efficient functioning of the Committee.
The Hon. Chairman expressed his gratitude to the Members for posing confidence upon him and assured them to run the business of the Committee with consensus.
